Wise lifts revenue growth outlook after cross-border payments rise 22%
The money transfer company expects fiscal 2027 net revenue growth toward the top of its 15% to 20% range, while keeping its margin outlook unchanged.

Wise said on October 16 that stronger customer numbers and cross-border transactions had lifted second-quarter net revenue by 21% to $739.1 million, prompting a more upbeat full-year growth outlook.
The money transfer firm now anticipates fiscal 2027 net revenue growth near the top of its target range of 15% to 20%. It left its outlook for the income-before-tax margin unchanged.
Cross-border payment volumes reached $71.7 billion, an increase of 22%, while the number of active customers rose 20% to 12.5 million. Wise cut prices to attract customers, reducing its cross-border take rate—the revenue it earns per dollar transferred—to 0.49%, compared with 0.52% a year earlier.
A JPMorgan analyst said $30 million in one-off costs partly offset the improved outlook, leaving less room to raise earnings estimates. Wise shares in London were down 1.9% at 11:40 a.m. GMT.
Wise has also been extending its network. Its U.S. expansion plans faced a setback in July when regulators rejected its application for a national trust bank. The company intends to apply again.
