Leveraged positions linked to semiconductor stocks and funds suffered nearly $52 million in liquidations during a 10-minute burst of weekend trading, despite U.S. stock markets being closed.

Selling started on Binance before reaching Hyperliquid seconds later. Positions wagering on price gains made up about $38 million of the liquidations.

The contracts remain available for trading at all hours. With Wall Street shut, crypto traders drove their weekend prices rather than movements in the underlying shares. Those share prices will serve as a benchmark once U.S. stock trading resumes.
