Arena raises $200 million at $3.1 billion valuation
Lightspeed Venture Partners and Khosla Ventures led the Series B, following a January funding round that valued the AI evaluation company at $1.7 billion.

AI model-ranking platform Arena said on October 8 that it had raised $200 million in Series B financing, valuing the company at $3.1 billion. Lightspeed Venture Partners and Khosla Ventures led the round.
Other participants included Salesforce Ventures, 01 Advisors, Dell Technologies Capital, Endeavor Catalyst, a16z and Felicis. Arena announced its $150 million Series A in January, when its post-money valuation was $1.7 billion.
The company said its annualized revenue was $30 million at the time of the Series A. In June, it said annualized run-rate revenue had reached $100 million.
Arena began as a UC Berkeley research project in 2023. Its free consumer platform lets users submit prompts or request coding projects, then compare and rate the models’ responses. The company says the platform attracts tens of millions of visitors each month.
Its commercial service, AI Evaluations, launched in September of last year. It offers AI laboratories and enterprises performance analytics drawn from feedback provided by the platform’s community.
Arena has also introduced an alignment category for its leaderboard. The category assesses behavior including actions taken without authorization, incorrect attribution of information and false claims that tasks have been completed.
