The telecoms operator aims to save £800 million by 2029, with most wage-bill reductions coming from roles that do not serve customers directly.
Squarespace cuts about 19% of workforce in restructuring
Around 300 employees will be affected as the website-building company seeks to simplify operations and refocus its priorities.

Squarespace is cutting approximately 19% of its staff worldwide, affecting around 300 employees, public relations specialist Jeff Seedman confirmed on November 2, 2026. The job reductions are part of an organizational restructuring at the website-building and hosting company.
Seedman, who represents Squarespace, said the company intends the changes to make operations simpler, clarify priorities and help it act more quickly as it prepares for further growth.
Squarespace has been expanding its artificial intelligence offerings. It introduced Blueprint, an AI tool, in 2024 and has announced Forma, an upcoming AI-native platform with a waiting list for prospective users.
Other website-building businesses have also pursued AI products. Rival Wix bought Base44 for $80 million, while Google has introduced Stitch, a feature for generating user interface designs.
Founded in 2004, Squarespace entered the public market in 2021 with a valuation of $10 billion. It later opted to return to private ownership through a $7 billion private equity transaction in 2024.
