Anthropic's quarterly net loss narrows to $23.29 billion ahead of IPO
Revenue reached $16.96 billion, while the AI company disclosed about $895.4 billion in computing-related spending commitments.

Anthropic reported a third-quarter net loss of $23.29 billion, down from $66.3 billion in the second quarter, as it prepares to go public. An amended IPO filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission showed the financial results on November 2.
Revenue for the quarter that ended September 30 increased to $16.96 billion, against $11.56 billion in the preceding quarter. At the operating level, however, the company swung to a $567 million loss from a $974 million profit.
The prospectus also detailed approximately $895.4 billion of spending commitments tied to computing arrangements. Partners in those deals include Amazon and Alphabet's Google.
The San Francisco-based AI company has filed for an IPO that could be the largest on record. Its listing plans come as investors examine the scale of spending on AI infrastructure.
According to a media report, some existing and prospective investors now put Anthropic's value at about $1.5 trillion, compared with roughly $2 trillion previously, after the company shared financial information at a recent investor event.
