Nooks secures $500 million commitment to expand sales and marketing
General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund will share in returns generated by its capital rather than take an equity stake, Nooks CEO Dan Lee said.

Sales automation startup Nooks said on November 4 that General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund had committed $500 million to support its sales and marketing expansion. The financing will also help Nooks introduce new products.
CEO Dan Lee said the arrangement differs from conventional equity investment: General Catalyst will receive a portion of the returns generated with its funding rather than buy an ownership stake. Lee declined to disclose detailed terms.
Nooks also formally introduced its Revenue Agent Platform on November 4, covering sales tasks from initial contact through renewal. The company is betting that AI will reshape sales, following changes in coding, legal work and customer support.
The startup said it expects its annual recurring revenue to nearly triple by year-end, without providing the current amount. It reported more than 2,000 customers, naming Cursor, Notion, Replit, Glean and HubSpot among them, and net revenue retention of 135%.
Pranav Singhvi, a partner and co-head of General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund, cited the platform's revenue predictability and unit economics as reasons for backing the business.
