Blacksmith valued at $1 billion in Sequoia-led $66 million round
The software-testing platform's Series C follows a $45 million Series B just two months earlier, when it was valued at $550 million.

Blacksmith announced on October 21, 2026, that Sequoia led its $66 million Series C, valuing the software development platform at $1 billion. The company helps businesses build and test software, including AI-written code.
The financing brings Blacksmith's total capital raised to $125 million. Just two months earlier, its $45 million Series B put the company's valuation at $550 million. A year ago, it raised $10 million in a Series A at a $60 million valuation.
Blacksmith said its annual recurring revenue had grown 17x and that it had processed more than 90 million continuous integration jobs, meaning individual automated code checks. Its customers include Mercury and Granola.
Co-founder and CEO Aditya Jayaprakash said Blacksmith was created to ease continuous integration, which involves building, testing, merging and validating changes to code. In a blog post, he said most companies were having difficulty handling the volume of checks they needed, particularly as AI generates more code.
