Trump pledges to address any continuing Starlink access problems in Ukraine
Ukrainian officials said speed limits remained in effect, disputing the U.S. president’s earlier assertion that service had been fully restored.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on October 23 that he would intervene if Ukraine continued to face problems accessing Starlink communications, after Ukrainian officials said restrictions were still affecting the service.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said he had not discussed the issue with SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. He said he would contact Musk if the access problems had not been resolved.
Ukrainian officials said on October 23 that Starlink speed limits remained in effect, challenging Trump’s earlier claim of a full restoration. The limits have applied since October 13 amid worsening relations between Kyiv and Washington.
Trump also defended Musk, describing him as fair and saying he would not act improperly. He characterized Ukraine’s dealings with a private company as an unusual situation.
