Revolut suffered a service outage on October 20, 2026, affecting millions of customers as users in several countries reported failed card payments and problems accessing their accounts. The digital bank said it was working to restore services.

Customers reported declined transactions and error messages when attempting to log in. Complaints came from the UK, Ireland, France, Spain and Japan, among other countries. Whether all Revolut users were affected remained unclear.

Revolut said the disruption involved several services and that customers’ funds and data remained safe. It apologized to those affected and said work to resolve the problem had begun when it was identified that morning. The company did not provide an expected restoration time.

The UK-based company says it serves more than 80 million retail customers. Its largest markets are the UK, with 13 million customers, Spain, with 6 million, and France, with 5 million. More than 750,000 companies also use Revolut Business.
