The pledge follows Anthropic’s proposal to put 5% of its shares into a company-owned public benefit fund, pending shareholder approval.
Netflix film chief Dan Lin to leave in second senior exit
Peter Rice will oversee the film division until a successor is named, as the streaming company faces scrutiny over growth and viewer engagement.

Netflix said on October 19 that Dan Lin would step down as head of its film division following almost three years in the role. His planned exit marks the company's second senior leadership departure within a week.
The company had also announced that content chief Bela Bajaria would leave following almost a decade at Netflix, with former Disney executive Peter Rice taking her place. Rice will supervise the film business while Netflix awaits a new division head.
The changes come as Netflix's growth outlook and viewer engagement face scrutiny. Co-CEO Ted Sarandos recently said growth was slower than he wanted, while engagement data has indicated that viewers are devoting more time to creator-led services such as YouTube. Netflix is cutting about 6% of its workforce and is scheduled to report third-quarter earnings after the market closes.
Lin's tenure included oversight of the Academy Award-winning hit “KPop Demon Hunters,” which strengthened Netflix's feature animation strategy. He previously held a senior executive position at Warner Bros Pictures and was among the producers behind “Sherlock Holmes” and the Lego films.
