Publishers and digital advertisers have complained to EU and UK antitrust authorities about the proposed terms’ implications for AI content use.
Anthropic launches reporting tools to track enterprise AI spending
The company is also creating shared team budgets as businesses seek a clearer view of AI coding costs and results.

Anthropic has introduced reporting tools that it says will help business customers assess what their spending on AI tokens delivers. The tools let managers examine team output, costs and workflow problems, while the company is also creating pooled budgets for teams.
The reports draw on employee surveys and internal analytics to show work completed during a selected period. Anthropic says they will include suggestions for improving results and that the underlying data will not be used to train its models by default.
The launch comes as research from developer-tools company Jellyfish points to rising costs for AI-assisted coding. Its report, based on usage by 276,000 customers, found that Claude Code and other Anthropic-based tools accounted for nearly a third of proposed code changes sent for review, making them the most widely used in the survey.
Jellyfish said spending on those tools had grown 10x since the start of the year and now amounted to about 2% of total engineering costs. Nicholas Arcolano, Jellyfish’s chief scientist, said the pace of growth had exceeded what many chief financial officers planned for, increasing the need for businesses to optimize their use.
