Players can practice against bots before competing with other users in games covering math, puzzles, memory and logic. Challenges and quests offer points and access to additional games.
After concentrating on building its audience, Matiks has begun testing a subscription offering game analysis, practice tools and other features. It also sells in-game items that let players bypass challenges, preserve streaks and increase XP points.
Co-founder Sudhanshu Bhatia said India accounts for most players, though the app has also attracted users in the U.S., South Korea and Japan. Matiks plans localization for South Korea and Japan.
The startup has 41 full-time employees and has introduced Jelo, an experimental platform where users can create games for others to play.
