In a recent speech marking his first 100 days in office, former President Donald Trump highlighted significant achievements, particularly in job creation, immigration, and economic conditions. He even declared that his administration has turned in the most impressive accomplishments in restoring the U.S. economy and protecting American interests on the world stage.

Putting together some numbers Trump announced the creation of 350,000 new jobs so far in his first three months in office. He noted that native-born Americans are having a net-job gain that is outpacing net losses for foreign-born workers. This is a huge turnaround from past trends. “For the first time in recent memory, job gains for native-born Americans now exceed job gains for foreign workers,” he stated.

The ex-pres highlighted that under his first two months in office, about 345,000 jobs had been created. This record-breaking boom in employment is a testament to his administration’s efforts to return jobs to American shores. It uniquely tackles, as he describes it, an “inflation nightmare.”

Restoring stability in consumer prices, especially for food and fuel Trump made stabilizing consumer prices a central theme of his speech. When he entered office in January, the average national price for a dozen large Grade A eggs was about $4.95. True, but then he went on to say that egg prices have fallen by 87% since the start of his administration. Egg prices took off earlier this year, peaking at an all-time high of just over $6.23 per dozen in March. It’s since fallen to about $3.15 over the last week.

On gas prices, Trump should have mentioned that not a single state was below $2.67 average on April 29. The president claimed credit for gasoline prices having fallen through the floor since he took office. As of this morning, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in the U.S. was $3.16 according to AAA.

Immigration continues to be the bedrock of Trump’s policy priorities. Significantly, in March U.S. authorities recorded 7,181 of these encounters with migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border, a slight decrease from 8,346 encounters in February. Since taking office, Trump’s administration has focused on combating illegal immigration, further emphasizing a strong national security policy.

As outlined above, sturdy Trump’s employment generation and immigration enforcement. He clapped for Elon Musk’s work at Department of Government Efficiency (Doge). He revealed that Doge has cost taxpayers $150 billion. This historic accomplishment resulted from eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer dollars in government programs. “They’ve saved over $150bn on waste, fraud and abuse,” Trump declared.

Doge’s home page claimed a whopping $160 billion saved as of April 20. This move is part of a larger push to improve the federal government’s efficiency and accountability.
