Scottish Businessman’s Tragic End in Nairobi Unfolds

Campbell Scott, a 58-year-old senior director at the credit scoring firm FICO, was found dead in Nairobi, Kenya. Scott, who hailed from Fife, Scotland, was last seen on February 16 at a conference held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Nairobi's Westlands district. Authorities launched a search operation following his disappearance, with local police identifying his body and receiving assistance from Interpol.

Scott played a pivotal role at FICO, where he led the international Scores business. He joined the company in 2014 after a career with various firms. His contributions were instrumental in introducing FICO's scoring products to new markets and expanding partnerships with existing clients.

"Campbell was a leader in our international Scores business," stated a spokeswoman for FICO.

His educational background includes studies at Woodmill High School in Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy Technical College. Colleagues last saw him during the conference in Nairobi, where he had been participating actively before his sudden disappearance.

The conference venue, the JW Marriott Hotel, is situated in an affluent business area of Nairobi, which sees numerous high-profile gatherings. Following Scott's disappearance, police launched an intensive search operation, enlisting the help of Interpol to locate him.

"He joined FICO in 2014 and was instrumental in introducing Scores to new markets and growing our business with existing partnerships," added the spokeswoman.

Upon the discovery of his body, FICO expressed deep sorrow over the loss of their colleague. The spokeswoman conveyed the company's grief and highlighted his personal attributes that endeared him to many.

"We mourn his passing and will miss his humour and kindness," she noted.

The UK Foreign Office has been approached for comment on the situation but has yet to provide a statement. In light of these events, FICO has extended their condolences to Scott’s family and friends.

"Our thoughts are with Campbell's family and friends. We ask that the media respect their privacy," said the spokeswoman.
