Remember Monday Gears Up for Eurovision with High Hopes and Glittering Ambitions

Remember Monday is a vibrant country-pop trio featuring Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele at the helm. Now, they’re primed to make waves on behalf of the United Kingdom at next month’s Eurovision Song Contest in Switzerland. With their contagious spirit and mesmerizing performance, the dynamic trio has audiences talking. They are thrilled to be presenting their debut entry, “What The Hell Just Happened,” at the esteemed convention.

Since their announcement as the UK’s representatives back in March, Remember Monday have been on a whirlwind tour around Europe. They are determined to engage with fans. They shoot fun TikToks and play their funky anthem all around Indy at hotels, nursing homes, and bars. The trio’s approach combines both a playful spirit and a commitment to their craft, ensuring their audiences are not just entertained but engaged.

In addition, the stage set for their performance is keeping with the theme of visual spectacle. With broken chandelier and faux boudoir this scenic item brings a rich, plunging element of theatricality to their performance. Their costumes have led to extreme “Bridgerton”/”Moulin Rouge” opulence comparisons, which is so appropriate given their colorful and effervescent characters. As they get ready to fly to Liverpool for Eurovision, the trio’s excitement is off the charts.

We do have a preference. I think the more we get closer to it, the more starved we are for a positive outcome. As for the potential, “A placement in the single digits would be lovely,” declared Holly-Anne Hull. She noted that the creative trio’s desire for an immersive production.

We each come to Remember Monday with our own rich and varied experiences. Lauren Byrne previously starred as Jane Seymour in “Six: The Musical,” while both Lauren and Holly-Anne have appeared in renowned West End productions such as “Phantom of the Opera.” Charlotte Steele took the courageous step of leaving her stable career as a deputy head teacher. She’s made the jump to music full-time, and it’s already been a wise decision.

Third the trio’s chemistry is palpable, as they have a real life friendship that truly began growing during their school days. In interviews, they are inseparable as evidenced by an unguarded dynamic famous shorthand clasped in a raucous cackle. Their shared history has undoubtedly contributed to their ability to harmonize seamlessly, bringing forth glittery glam-pop flourishes in their music that resonate well with live audiences.

What The Hell Just Happened was actually the last song we wrote, literally the day before the deadline. We’d got to the point where we were like ‘let’s just go 100% on every idea and see where it lands,’” Charlotte explained about the creative process behind their entry. This spirit of exploration underscores their important openness to trying out ambitious ideas at full throttle without pause.

Or, they have such a hectic schedule that there’s no time for recovery at home. Through it all, they never lose sight of doing everything possible to maximize this extraordinary opportunity. “Even if there wasn’t a bubble around us, the three of us make a bubble. Eurovision is all we talk about, even if we’re not together,” Charlotte added.

As they prepare for their performance on May 18th, the trio has festival appearances lined up for the summer, showcasing their dedication to connecting with fans beyond Eurovision. It is their unprecedented commitment to music and performance that is reflected in the details of every wrinkle of their preparation.
