Jack Fincham, a former Love Island star, recently faced legal action after being sentenced for dangerous dog offences. Although sentenced, Fincham was released from prison within hours. The incidents in question occurred in Swanley, Kent, and Grays, Essex, involving his dog, Elvis.
In September 2022, Elvis bit a runner in Swanley. The dog also attacked a woman in Grays last year. These incidents led to Fincham's court appearance where he pleaded guilty to two counts of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog. As part of the sentencing, Fincham was ordered to pay a total of £3,680, which includes a £2,000 contribution to kennelling costs. Additionally, he was fined £961 and instructed to pay £200 in compensation to the victims.
The legal proceedings also considered a suspended sentence Fincham was serving for an unrelated driving matter. Despite previously being given the opportunity to rectify his behavior, Fincham failed to do so, leading to further legal consequences. The court mandated that Fincham must muzzle his dog and keep it on a lead in public places. Furthermore, he is prohibited from leaving the dog alone with anyone under the age of 16.
Sgt Alex Watkins of Essex Police expressed gratitude towards the victims for their cooperation during the investigation.
