Pebble has unveiled its latest innovation in the travel trailer market with the introduction of the Pebble Flow, a cutting-edge camper incorporating a substantial 45-kWh lithium-ion battery embedded in its floor. Despite its electric components, the Pebble Flow is not classified as an E-RV because it cannot function as a vehicle independently. Instead, it combines eco-friendly technology with traditional towing capabilities. The trailer boasts a gross vehicle weight rating of 6,800 pounds and is suitable for towing by hybrid, gas engine vehicles, and other electric vehicles.
The Pebble Flow's 45-kWh battery is designed to power the interior systems for an impressive duration of up to seven days on a full charge. This feature ensures that travelers can enjoy extended trips without frequent recharging stops. Additionally, a set of 1-kW solar panels integrated into the roof provides partial recharging while on the move, enhancing the trailer's sustainability. Regenerative charging adds to this efficiency by activating during towing, thus maximizing energy utilization.
One of the standout features of the Pebble Flow is its innovative Magic Hitch technology. This system allows users to connect the trailer to their towing vehicle using a dedicated app, simplifying the hitching process significantly. This user-friendly feature enhances convenience, particularly for solo travelers or those less experienced with towing equipment.
The Pebble Flow's motors provide enough power to assist the towing vehicle, making it easier to maneuver. Although not powerful enough for independent travel, these motors enable the Flow to move at approximately 1 mile per hour when controlled via a smartphone app, allowing for precise positioning in tight spaces or campsites.
For those interested in acquiring this state-of-the-art travel trailer, the Pebble Flow is now available for preorder. The starting price for this innovative camper is $109,000, with a top-tier model priced at $135,500. The premium version includes a companion mobile app that allows users to control various features of the trailer remotely, adding an extra layer of convenience to the camping experience.
Pebble plans to begin assembling and delivering its first campers in the first half of 2025, giving customers ample time to prepare for their adventures with this revolutionary travel trailer. The Pebble Flow represents a significant step forward in combining traditional camping experiences with modern technology, offering a glimpse into the future of sustainable travel.
