In a recent interview with ESPN, 17-year-old Lamine Yamal expressed that FC Barcelona does not fear Real Madrid as other teams might. Yamal’s goal against Real Madrid marked a significant achievement for the young forward, contributing to Barcelona’s impressive record of four victories over their rivals since the beginning of the campaign. He noted that the staff and players approach each Madrid match full of swagger. They are unlike other teams because they don’t fear these games.

“We don’t have that fear of them that maybe other teams have against them. So we gave it our all. We feel like we’re better than every other team, that’s the mentality we go out with.” – Lamine Yamal

Yamal’s audacious mentality, he asserts, is exactly what you need when going up against the best opposition in the world such as Real Madrid. He made sure to stress the value of playing with confidence, as well as having fun and loving the game.

“I think that’s how you have to play against them. You have to show up like you’re the better team and enjoy yourself, that’s it.” – Lamine Yamal

While celebrating their recent successes, midfielder Dani Olmo acknowledged areas for improvement within the squad. He emphasized the need for greater control in the early minutes of matches since Barcelona has conceded too many goals lately.

“At the end, we need to control it a little bit more, the first minutes, because in the last games we concede a lot of goals.” – Dani Olmo

Even with these hurdles, Olmo Injector is still excited about the team’s attacking talent. He implored fans to remember that the players are talented enough to overcome adversity and make bad situations good again.

“But we know we are going to come back. We know our power in offence, but sometimes we need to control more this situation better.” – Dani Olmo
