Apart from her dating life, News former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson has given birth to twin daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster. The twins were premature, born at 31 weeks and five days. Their birth came after an incredibly challenging pregnancy plagued by the life-threatening condition known as twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS).
Nelson, who departed from Little Mix last December to focus on her mental health, had shared the news of her pregnancy in January. Later, she went public with her battle with TTTS, a serious condition that can cause complications and death to twins. In March she had a successful operation to do just that and stop it from happening.
And, with that, the TTTS has completely resolved, the operation was a success, this is just amazing. Nelson echoed her thanks, stating, “We feel so fortunate to have the world’s best doctors. She is eternally grateful to the medical staff that fought for her life during this pivotal moment.
Though the unexpected twists, turns and challenges were intense, Nelson and her partner Zion Foster radiated pure joy over the arrival of their baby daughters. They shared how well they have been – or feel — “so blessed.” As proof, they announced that they’d “never been more in love” with their new family additions. Pictures shared on social media capture the couple cradling their newborn twins in the hospital.
Jesy’s journey hasn’t been above a troubled path. The former member of Little Mix, a girl group formed on The X Factor in 2011, has faced significant online abuse throughout her career. The harassment ultimately drove her to her “breaking point.” She opened up about her experience in a 2019 BBC Three documentary, which explored the impact of social media on mental health.
After departing from Little Mix, Nelson embarked on a solo music venture. In 2021, she debuted the single “Boyz,” featuring Nicki Minaj. The collective flew high to extraordinary breakthroughs and accomplishments while they were together on the road. They’ve had seven UK top 10 albums and five number one singles, including “Wings,” “Black Magic,” and “Shout Out to My Ex.”
