Chris Brown Faces Charges Following Club Disturbance

Chris Brown, the 36-year-old American pop/R&B/funk/soul/rap singer has found himself in legal hot water at the moment. These concerns arose following an accusation of rape at the Tape club, also in London’s Mayfair, earlier this year. Brown has been charged with grievous bodily harm as a result of the incident. He was arrested on Thursday at Salford’s Lowry Hotel. On Friday, he went to court to answer the charge.

Brown’s next scheduled show was in Amsterdam on June 8. To leave that show behind and proceed on with his tour to Germany and the UK. Unfortunately, these plans are now at risk due to the former president’s continued legal troubles. After his initial court appearance, he was remanded into custody. He is due back in London’s Southwark Crown Court on June 13.

That nefarious alleged assault has garnered all the marbles. A second man, Michael C. Williams, charged in the case, is seen helping each retrieve their weapons before they continue to fight. Information about the incident remains scant. It has opened the door to important conversations around Brown’s career and his upcoming Super Bowl performance.

As the story continues to unfold, fans and industry insiders alike are left speculating how this will affect Brown’s upcoming bookings. His scheduled dates in the UK might be altered depending on how his legal battle ends. Further, we could see all of his other country-specific commitments affected as well.
