Campervan Mystery Baffles Authorities Near Saint-Malo

An unusual incident near the city of Saint-Malo in western France has left both police officers and local residents perplexed. On Saturday, a campervan was discovered abandoned by the side of a road, its bonnet lodged in a ditch and its rear resting against overhead power lines. The position of the vehicle was so bizarre that it stunned the police officers who arrived on the scene. In response to this perplexing event, prosecutors have launched an inquiry to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The driver of the campervan reported to the police on Sunday, unharmed and seemingly unscathed by the ordeal. Eyewitnesses recounted seeing the driver and two other individuals leave the scene shortly after the accident occurred. This unusual event prompted police in western France to open an investigation, aiming to piece together how the campervan ended up in such an odd position.

To remove the campervan from the precarious location, authorities called in a tow truck. The driver of the tow truck, boasting 22 years of experience, expressed amazement at the strange sight, stating that he had never encountered anything like it throughout his career. Despite this, he successfully removed the campervan from its resting place.

The BBC reached out to the Saint-Malo prosecutor's office seeking comments on the ongoing inquiry. However, details remain scarce as investigations continue. The incident, which captured significant attention due to its peculiar nature, was initially reported by the Ici news website and Ouest-France newspaper.
