Big-time directors and A-list stars are expected to grace the red carpet, making this year's Berlinale an unmissable event in the film industry calendar.
Kicking off the festival is Tom Tykwer's "The Light," a poignant narrative about a German family confronted with the arrival of a Syrian refugee. Another significant highlight includes the German debut of "A Complete Unknown," set to be showcased in a special gala screening.
Among the world premieres is Lee Isaac Chung's much-anticipated sci-fi film "Mickey 17," starring Robert Pattinson. Adapted from Edward Ashton's novel, this film promises to be a thrilling addition to the festival lineup. Additionally, "The Narrow Road to the Deep North," one of the year's most eagerly awaited drama miniseries, will make its mark at the festival.
Berlinale will also present "Hot Milk," a drama adaptation of Deborah Levy's Booker Prize-nominated novel. Michel Franco's "Dreams," featuring Jessica Chastain as a wealthy San Francisco socialite engaged in a romance with an illegal immigrant ballet dancer from Mexico, adds to the festival's diverse offerings. Furthermore, the German drama "Mother's Baby" delves into the unsettling suspicion of a new mother who believes her infant may not be her own.
