After-Hours Trading: Twilio Shines Amidst Declines in Boeing and Texas Instruments

In the latest after-hours trading session, Twilio emerged as a standout performer, with its shares surging more than 11%. The company issued an optimistic profit forecast for the coming years, coupled with strong free cash flow guidance for 2025. Meanwhile, Boeing, Texas Instruments, and other companies experienced notable declines in their share prices during extended trading.

Boeing's shares saw a nearly 2% drop after hours, while Texas Instruments experienced a slip of more than 2%. The latter's profit forecast, which ranged from 94 cents to $1.16 per share, fell short of analysts' expectations, contributing to its decline.

CSX also reported a drop in share value by 2% in after-hours trading. The transportation company announced fourth-quarter earnings of $2.10 per share, narrowly missing analysts' expectations of $2.11. Additionally, CSX reported revenue of $3.54 billion, slightly below the anticipated $3.58 billion. However, the company's revenue per share exceeded expectations, landing at $675.8 million.

East West Bancorp faced a decline as well, with shares losing 3% in extended trading. Intuitive Surgical's stock dipped about 2% despite the company posting better-than-expected earnings and revenue. This decline reflects the broader trend observed among several companies in the after-hours session.

Twilio's robust performance stands out amidst these declines. The company's optimistic outlook on profit and free cash flow positions it as a potential leader in future market sessions. Investors seem encouraged by this positive guidance, resulting in a significant surge in Twilio's share price.
