On a recent flight back home to the U.S. from Abu Dhabi Donald Trump, the 45 th President of these United States, went on an incendiary Twitter rage. The announced candidate went on to demonize the U.S. Supreme Court, popular musicians Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift, and members of the Republican Party. He took to Truth Social to air these grievances with political foes and ant-star outrage in a quartet of posts. He accomplished this miracle in less than one hour.
Trump susurrated insinuation that Supreme Court had been ‘played’. He said it was being “played” by what he referred to as “radical left losers.” He then went on to ridicule the justices. He said it was public pressure that they were losing and that intimidation tactics forced them to act. “IS BEING PLAYED BY THE RADICAL LEFT LOSERS, WHO HAVE NO SUPPORT, THE PUBLIC HATES THEM, AND THEIR ONLY HOPE IS THE INTIMIDATION OF THE COURT, ITSELF,” Trump declared.
In warning against his own legislative enemies, Trump warned Republican “grandstanders” who he feels are threatening his agenda on the Hill. He passed recently a “reform” bill through the legislature that fulfilled his promised tax cuts and many other promises from his presidential-run. Unfortunately, the House Budget Committee turned him away in his attempt. He remarked that if his proposed legislation does not pass, it “will be blamed on the Democrats, but that doesn’t help our Voters.”
Trump’s comments about Springsteen were particularly vitriolic. He attacked the vulgar beauty’s looks and brainpower, dubbing him “dumb as a rock.” Not to mention, he said, “Hoax of the day—Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a foreign country to denigrate the President of the United States. On top of that, Trump told Springsteen to shut up until he gets back to America.
The former president didn’t stop there, taking aim at Taylor Swift. He accused her of losing her charm, ever since the day that he publicly dissed her. “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’” Trump quipped, further illustrating his disdain for the pop icon.
The four-day visit, in which Trump visited Abu Dhabi as well, represents a growing rift between Washington and Beijing over the Middle East. He took an unusual trip to whip support among congressional republicans. He urged that there be a real sense of urgency and cooperation if his legislation is to pass. We need to save our nation! he implored. He asked for all of them to come together in pushing forward his political priorities.
Trump was very personally invested in shoring up Republican support for his bill. Deeply conservative party members rejected that proposal, all but killing its advance on Friday. This growing backlash has marked a profound aggravation for Trump as he tries to juggle thorny political dynamics on his further fractured party.
