Casemiro Welcomes Ancelotti as Coach of Brazil National Team

Bottom right, Carlo Ancelotti is the new head coach of the Brazilian national football team! Midfielder Casemiro has sung the praises of this great move. The ex-Madrid star is convinced Brazil lacks the inspiration or guidance of a figure like Ancelotti. He specifically stressed this necessity and the importance of it, given where the team exists now and what lies before them.

Casemiro had worked with Ancelotti for three stellar seasons at Real Madrid. He echoed Howard’s earlier point about the coach’s deep respect for the game’s history. “This guy is exceptional. This man is amazing, how he speaks about football, how he teaches football,” Casemiro said. He emphasized the importance of Ancelotti’s charisma and ability to motivate players, noting, “Let’s enjoy it, because regardless of whether he wins or loses, when this guy talks about football, he has charisma, a power to make players perform at their best.”

As it stands, Brazil is in fourth place of CONMEBOL’s standings. To qualify automatically for the 2026 World Cup, they need to finish in the top six, with the tournament fast approaching in 13 months’ time. The national team’s next match is against Paraguay as they look to build on their campaign.

Giving his thoughts after his return to the national team was confirmed, Casemiro knew there would be talk about Ancelotti’s impact. It’s not even just, like, hard to discuss going back to the national team. It’s inevitable when you talk about the greatness of a coach like that, you’re closer to winning,” he explained. Yet he moderated expectations. Naturally, I’ll reiterate one more time,” he continued “it’s not guaranteed that Brazil will win from here.

Casemiro has three Champions League titles and a LaLiga crown under Ancelotti’s guidance at Real Madrid. When it comes to tactical experience, coaching knowhow and professionalism – he can’t give enough praise to Ancelotti’s long career. After Tite gave, I believe it had to be him. He was what Brazil needed, Brazil needed a big name like him, someone who commands respect,” said Casemiro.

Even with the celebrating of Ancelotti’s hiring, Casemiro was worried about the one-year time period on how long Ancelotti can be expected to stick around. “I’m happy that a coach of such stature is coaching the Brazilian national team, but I’m a little sad that it’s only for a short time,” he said. “Because, man, I say that I know him personally, I know him very well, and just one year … it’s not enough time.”

Brazil are preparing for a round of 16 clash with Paraguay. With the World Cup just around the corner, the football community will be eager to see how Ancelotti’s guiding hand shapes the team’s fortunes.
