Chris Brown arrest in the United Kingdom. This came after the news that he had previously assaulted another man with a bottle at a London club. During the early morning hours of Thursday, May 15, 2023, the Manchester Police Department SWAT team and Hillborough County Sheriffs Office arrested an individual at a Manchester hotel. This arrest is related to a serious incident that occurred at Tape nightclub Mayfair on 19 February 2023.
Authorities arrested the driver, identified as Brown, 36, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. Music producer Abe Diaw was reportedly the alleged victim in the incident.
In a statement, a spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrest and provided further details.
“A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, 15 May on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has been taken into custody where he remains. The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023.” – Met spokesman
Brown is presently touring and has a number of performances planned throughout the UK in June and July. Whether and how this newly unfolding legal matter may impact his upcoming shows remains to be seen.
