The Storm Prediction Center recorded 56 preliminary tornado reports spanning seven states since the onset of this weather system. Among these states, Mississippi and Missouri have been notably affected, with over 20 preliminary tornado reports from Mississippi and 13 from Missouri alone.
In Missouri, the deadly tornado claimed at least three lives as it ripped through communities.
