Released in North America on February 14, the film has surpassed Pixar's "Inside Out 2" to become the top-grossing animated film worldwide, earning over 13 billion yuan in ticket sales. This achievement highlights the growing influence of Chinese animated films, which have been making waves globally over the last decade.

Beijing Enlight Media, the powerhouse behind "Ne Zha 1," which dominated China's box office in 2019, has once again demonstrated its prowess in animation with "Ne Zha 2." The film's success, while remarkable, is viewed more as a milestone than a surprise for those familiar with China's evolving entertainment landscape since before the pandemic. The film industry in China has seen a surge in creativity and production quality, paving the way for films like "Ne Zha 2" to compete on the global stage.

A notable mention in the realm of Chinese animation is "Big Fish and Begonia," described by Variety as a "bold and breathtaking fantasy adventure" that distinguishes itself within the Chinese industry. Such films have contributed to the rising prominence of Chinese animation worldwide.

In financial markets, the U.S. Conference Board's Consumer Confidence Index fell to 98.3 for February, a decrease of seven points from previous readings. This dip was unexpected, as the Dow Jones had forecast a higher figure of 102.3. Contributing to this shift, the 10-year Treasury yield experienced a drop amid concerns labeled as the "Trump Slump."
