F1 75 Live: A Spectacular Tribute to Formula 1’s Legacy

Formula 1 marks its 75th anniversary with a spectacular event, F1 75 Live, set to take place on February 18 at the renowned O2 Arena in London. This grand celebration will commence at 8 p.m. GMT, bringing together all ten Formula 1 teams and their drivers along with a host of celebrities. The event promises to be a thrilling spectacle as it showcases the liveries for the upcoming season in real time, an unprecedented experience for fans worldwide.

All ten teams will be presented on stage in reverse championship order from last season, offering fans a unique perspective on the sport's hierarchy. For the first time, enthusiasts will witness the liveries of all participating teams live, adding an exciting layer of anticipation to the event. The MCL39, which made its track debut at Silverstone in an interim "camo" livery, will also feature prominently. Although the car on display may not be the 2025 model, the livery certainly will be.

The event will be a star-studded affair with appearances by celebrities such as Jared Leto, Idris Elba, Fatboy Slim, Dina Asher-Smith, Giggs, and Vikkstar. It will be broadcast live on F1's YouTube channel and social media platforms for global audiences unable to attend in person. This accessibility underscores Formula 1's commitment to engaging with its worldwide fanbase.

As anticipation builds for the 2025 season, it is noteworthy that 30% of the Formula 1 grid will consist of rookies, with six drivers making their full-season debuts. This infusion of new talent signifies a transformative moment for the sport, hinting at an exciting future. The day following F1 75 Live, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will travel to Fiorano in Italy for Ferrari's official car launch.

In the lead-up to F1 75 Live, both Williams and McLaren launched their cars without revealing their official liveries. However, McLaren became the first team to unveil their 2025 car ahead of the new season.

"Everything went fine which is good news. The first lap of a newly born car is a bit tricky but everything worked as it should and now we're ready to get into a run plan." – Carlos Sainz

Preseason testing is scheduled to take place from February 26-28 in Bahrain, ahead of the first Grand Prix of the year in Australia this March.
