Tiger Woods Set for Return Amid Personal and Professional Challenges

Tiger Woods is set to make his return to TGL play on Tuesday following a brief hiatus due to personal reasons. His team, Jupiter Links, will face New York Golf Club in what promises to be an exciting match. Woods had withdrawn from the Genesis Invitational after the passing of his mother, Kultida, who died at the age of 80 on February 4. Despite the emotional toll, Woods has looked healthy in two TGL matches this year and is hopeful about participating in more events this season.

The Genesis Invitational, which relocated to Torrey Pines from Riviera Country Club, took place without Woods' participation as he sat out both this event and another tournament. During his absence from competitive play, Woods attended a significant meeting with President Donald Trump, PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan, and professional golfer Adam Scott. The discussion focused on a potential deal with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia. Woods expressed optimism about the outcome of these talks.

"I think things are going to heal quickly. We're going to get this game going in the right direction. It's been heading in the wrong direction for a number of years and the fans want all of us to play together — all the top players playing together — and we're going to make that happen." – Tiger Woods

Woods praised Monahan and Scott for their involvement in the meeting, suggesting that the collaboration could bring about positive changes for golf. He indicated plans for another meeting with President Trump to further these discussions. Woods has emphasized his commitment to ensuring that fans see top players competing together more frequently.

"I haven't been able to do that. I'll get back after it and look to play some of the bigger events." – Tiger Woods

On a personal note, Woods opened up about the emotional impact of losing his mother, describing her as his "rock." He acknowledged the difficulty of moving forward but remains focused on honoring her memory through his career.

"Losing her has been a hard and difficult process to go through. Mom was my rock." – Tiger Woods
