Tragic Cybertruck Crash Claims Three Young Lives in Piedmont

In the early hours of November 27, 2024, a devastating car crash shook the quiet community of Piedmont, California. A Tesla Cybertruck, driven by 20-year-old Jordan Miller, veered off course around 3 a.m., jumping a curb and colliding with a tree before coming to rest against a retaining wall. The incident resulted in the tragic deaths of three passengers: Soren Dixon, Jack Nelson, and Krysta Tsukahara. The sole survivor was pulled from the burning wreckage and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred in Piedmont, an affluent area surrounded by Oakland in Alameda County. The vehicle involved, a Tesla Cybertruck, was significantly damaged, with the front end partially wrapped around the tree it struck. The driver, Jordan Miller, is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin and was identified by his mother, Samantha Miller.

Among the deceased, Soren Dixon was a 19-year-old recent graduate of Piedmont High School. Jack Nelson, aged 20, and Krysta Tsukahara, also 19, were the other victims of this fatal incident. Their loss has deeply affected the community as friends and family mourn their untimely passing.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the Alameda County Coroner's Office are conducting a thorough investigation into the crash. Preliminary reports indicate that Dixon had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.195%, more than twice the legal limit for drivers, according to autopsy and toxicology results obtained by the coroner's office. The high level of alcohol in Dixon's system at the time of his death is under scrutiny as officials seek to understand the circumstances leading to this tragic event.
