Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan fell victim to a brutal attack at his upscale home, where an assailant stabbed him six times. The incident occurred late at night when a nurse at the residence, Eliyama Philip, noticed a suspicious shadow lurking near the bathroom door. The attacker, later identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, managed to evade immediate capture after demanding a ransom of 10 million rupees from Khan. The situation escalated into a violent altercation, resulting in several injuries for Khan and Philip.
The police investigation reveals that Shehzad had been living in India under false pretenses, using a fake identity. Dixit Gedam, a deputy commissioner of Mumbai police, confirmed that the suspect had been residing in the city for about six months. Authorities suspect that Shehzad intended to rob Khan, leading to the attack. They arrested him in Thane, a district on the outskirts of Mumbai.
Khan and his wife were alerted by the noise of the scuffle and rushed to the scene. During the ensuing chaos, Shehzad struck Khan with a blade before fleeing. Despite the severity of the injuries, Khan is reportedly recovering well.

Shehzad's arrest took place on Sunday, following which a Mumbai court placed him in five-day police custody. However, his lawyer contests the allegations, claiming that Shehzad is not from Bangladesh. This claim adds complexity to an already tangled legal scenario.
The incident has sent shockwaves through Mumbai's entertainment community and underscored concerns about security among high-profile figures. Law enforcement officials continue to scrutinize Shehzad's background and motives as they piece together the full story behind this alarming home invasion.
