Visionary Filmmaker David Lynch Passes Away at 78

David Lynch, the legendary American filmmaker known for his surrealist and dreamlike films, has passed away at the age of 78. He died following a battle with emphysema, a chronic lung disease attributed to "many years of smoking." Despite his health challenges, Lynch remained in "excellent shape" and famously declared he would "never retire."
