Kirkland Signature Organic Eggs Recalled Due to Salmonella Concerns

Handsome Brook Farms has initiated a recall of Kirkland Signature Organic Pasture-Raised eggs due to salmonella contamination. The recall, announced on the FDA website, impacts eggs sold in Costco stores across the Southern United States. These eggs, packaged in two dozen packs, were not intended for retail sale but were distributed to stores in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee beginning November 22, 2024.

The affected Kirkland Signature eggs carry the UPC code 9661910680 and the Julian code 327. Consumers should note that the "use by" date on these eggs is January 5, 2025. The recall was prompted after some eggs were found to be contaminated with salmonella, posing potential health risks to consumers.

Costco customers in the Southern states who have purchased these eggs should check their packages and dispose of any affected products. Handsome Brook Farms has assured that they are working closely with the FDA to ensure public safety and resolve the issue promptly.

For further information or inquiries regarding the recall, consumers can reach out to Handsome Brook Farms directly at 646-733-4532, ext. 1, or via email at recall@hbfeggs.com.
